Sanjay Katkar, Joint Managing Director, Quick Heal Technologies

Quick Heal Technologies Limited, a global cybersecurity solutions provider, has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with BHASHINI, the government’s multilingual AI platform under the Ministry of Electronics and Information Technology (MeitY), to make digital safety and privacy education accessible to millions of Indians in their native languages.

The partnership aims to bridge a critical gap in India’s digital ecosystem, where over 800 million internet users have limited access to cybersecurity and privacy awareness content in regional languages. Most existing resources are available only in English, leaving a significant portion of the population vulnerable to cyber threats and unaware of their digital rights.

Seqrite to integrate BHASHINI AI stack across 22 languages

Under the collaboration, Quick Heal’s enterprise cybersecurity brand, Seqrite, will integrate BHASHINI’s advanced language technology stack — comprising speech recognition, text translation, text-to-speech, and optical character recognition — across 22 Indian languages. This will enable multilingual cybersecurity modules, real-time threat alerts, and localized incident response guidance for users from metropolitan hubs to rural communities.

Multilingual privacy tools aligned with DPDP Act, 2023

The initiative will also support multilingual privacy experiences in line with the Digital Personal Data Protection (DPDP) Act, 2023, including cookie consent banners, data collection notices, and data rights interfaces. By combining Quick Heal’s cybersecurity expertise with BHASHINI’s AI-powered linguistic capabilities, the partnership aims to strengthen India’s cyber resilience while making digital rights and safety knowledge universally accessible.

Sanjay Katkar, Joint Managing Director, Quick Heal Technologies Limited, said, “This partnership marks a radical shift in how we approach cybersecurity and data privacy in India. For too long, language barriers have prevented millions of Indians from accessing critical cybersecurity knowledge”

Amitabh Nag, Chief Executive Officer, Digital India BHASHINI Division, said, “Cybersecurity and data privacy are universal concerns that demand inclusive communication. Through our collaboration with Quick Heal Technologies Limited, we’re building a new paradigm where cybersecurity and data privacy awareness speak the language of the people”
