The shares of HCL Technologies Limited were trading at ₹1,822.15 down by ₹167.25 or 8.41 per cent on the NSE today at 11.08 am.
HCLTech announced today it is expanding its strategic partnership with Microsoft by acquiring Nuance’s Enterprise Professional Services business, including its team and existing customer contracts. The deal positions HCLTech as the exclusive professional services partner for Nuance Enterprise’s existing customers.
The Indian IT major will integrate Microsoft Dynamics 365 Contact Center as its preferred contact center solution, incorporating AI capabilities through Microsoft’s Copilot technology. More than 550 Nuance Enterprise Professional Services personnel with conversational AI expertise will transition to HCLTech as part of the agreement.
Under the partnership, HCLTech will establish a Nuance Migration Factory to facilitate customer transitions to Microsoft Dynamics 365 Contact Center. The company will provide services including system integration, application development, and AI transformation services.
Anil Ganjoo, Chief Growth Officer, Americas, TMT at HCLTech, described the move as “bold” in the Contact Center as a Service (CCaaS) market. Charles Lamanna, Corporate Vice President at Microsoft, emphasized HCLTech’s leadership in contact center transformations.
The partnership aims to enhance customer service experiences through generative AI and cloud-based solutions. HCLTech, which reported consolidated revenues of $13.8 billion for the 12 months ending December 2024, employs over 220,000 people across 60 countries.
