The board of directors of MIC Electronics has given an in-principle nod to acquire Neo Semi SG Pte Limited (NSPL), Singapore, subject to foreign investment regulations.

The board will take a final decision after concluding the negotiations, determining the per-share valuation and due diligence of NSPL.

The board authorised the Managing Director to identify, negotiate and appoint requisite intermediaries to facilitate the acquisition.

“This proposed acquisition is aligned with MIC Electronics’ long-term strategy to diversify into hightech sectors and reinforce its presence in future-critical verticals like semiconductors, green energy, and digital service infrastructure,” the company informed the Bombay Stock Exchange (BSE) on Friday.

“The transaction is subject to independent valuation of both MIC Electronics Limited and NSPL; and finalisation of transaction structure,” it said.
